What is Line 10?

Line 10 is a historic tram route that passes Rotterdam’s most important sights. It offers a unique way to discover the city in an authentic vehicle.

Our trams

Some of the Citytour Line 10 trams are over 95 years old! The line does not always use the same vehicles, but you will often encounter four-axle trams or Düwag trams. Our conductor will gladly tell you more about their history. On the first Saturday of the month you can also visit the Rotterdam Public Transport Museum on the Kootsekade!

The proceeds from Line 10 go directly into the maintenance we perform ourselves in our museum depot. Our enthusiastic volunteers make sure the trams are always safe and roadworthy, and we can always use more help.

The Rotterdam Public Transport Museum

In the 1990s Rotterdam’s historic public transport was spread across multiple foundations and locations. Museum trams operated from the Delfshaven depot, old buses were rented from Sluisjesdijk, and there was a small exhibition in the Oostplein metro station. RET also kept historic trams. It worked, but there was no clear overview.

RET therefore decided to bring everything together under one organization. In 1997 Stichting RoMeO was founded: the Rotterdam public transport museum and operator of historical vehicles. Since January 2023, the foundation has used the name Rotterdam Public Transport Museum for public activities. Under that name we love to show and share the past of tram, bus, and metro.
